about

My passion & purpose
  • Empowering women to feel compassion, care, and love towards themselves by being the consistent champion in their corner, contributing to a ripple effect of positivity and love that extends beyond me.
  • Partnering, via 1:1 private coaching, with high-achieving underrepresented women who seek clarity beyond limiting beliefs and self-sabotaging behaviors.  Those in search of pathways towards personal transformation and discovery, thus enabling them to live authentically empowered lives on their terms.
  • In essence, I help you make sense of what you want out of life and how to go after it.
origin story

With over 15 years of experience in corporate America, including stops along the way at Capital One, IBM, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Transunion, the path to coaching was neither linear nor foreseen but inevitable upon reflection.

I’ve spent my career concentrated on client-facing, consultative, software development, training development, and delivery opportunities. One of my many superpowers is being adept at managing project ambiguity, distilling complexities into common-sense language, and juggling cross-organizational interdependencies and personalities.

When I began my journey in technology, it was not the inclusive landscape it is today.   So being ‘the only one’ in overwhelming cis-white male-dominated spaces felt ‘othering,’ and isolating.  Combined with navigating toxic workplace cultures where microaggressions were the norm, and one’s only recourse was to ‘buck up,’ internalize the rage and sadness, or develop a thick impenetrable skin.  I choose all three! I am a go-getter, after all.

origin story

I had it going on from outward appearances, and people thought I could handle and do it all. I was the embodiment of the ‘strong Black Woman’ trope.  However, by the time I’d burned out from my job, ya girl felt like Latrell Sprewell three seconds before he went at PJ Carlesimo’s throat!  I do not condone violence but could, at that time, relate to that level of rage and frustration. Also, if you don’t know who these people are, Google it.

I wish I could I say I arrived at the mountain top and do not struggle with balance, boundaries, or breaks (mental health), but I do!  And guess what, that’s ok.  It’s what makes me whole, human, Alexis.
